LOUD!

Sounds Nu-Metal, looks emo.

Good value for an all valve amp at the moment.

Try it and see what you think!

I have heard they are like a Crate mixed with a Mesa. Have no clue though, never played one.

I don't know if the one I tried was defective or something, but it barely had any gain at all...

I know Adam Clayton from U2 uses them, and they are LOUD. Good amps. Go with it if you like it.

I wonder how and Ashdown would sound with a guitar...

The bass player in my band played some gigs with an Ashdown amp and he wasn`t impressed with it. It was OK but nothing more or less.

Average amp. Didn't like it much myself. it's on par with crate and b-52. I'd search a little harder if I were you, but if you need a mid priced amp this might do the trick if you're into the screamo sound.

im not realy into the screamo sound, but from the financial view (and it is the biggest element here) its hard to beat the price of that amp

ok, so to update my situation a lil......

and my mind is straining with decisions on this bigtime at the moment.
SO ADVICE IS NEEDED!!!!!!!!!!!!!....please

well as i said at the begining iv been lookin at the ashdown fallen angel amp, mainly because of the price (60watt all tube head+ a 4x12 cab for..... £400)

but at the same time im not all that convinced about the sound

but now iv been made a very tempting offer.

a marshall DSl 100 with 1960's cab and covers, for £600
(off someone i trust too)
and now im realy confussed

ultimatly i know the dsl is the better amp, but im on a tight budget, its guna take a while to raise the extra cash, also the ashdown has extra features such as the emulated lineout.

any input????

the fallen angel is pretty flexible, it has lots of nice little features like the dual master volumes and effects.

*but*

i didn't like the tone at all. nowhere near enough gain on the dist channel, and it seemed quiet for an all valve amp.

i tried the 60w 2x12 and in the end i plumped for......a marshall.

the jvm410 combo to be precise.

all in all, its fairly good value, but you'll want to change it quite soon i reckon.

hope that helps.
