Things/tips to know when playing thru halfstack?

umm...I don't know about what not to do, but I can tell you what to do.......

So....do tell.....what did you get?!
About the only things that I can think of to tell you in a definite "do or don't do" vein are these:
DO make sure that (if your amp is tube/valve) you set the ohm selector to correctly match the head to the cab.
DO NOT turn your amp on without connecting the cab first.
DO NOT use shielded cables (instrument or guitar cables) to connect your amp to your cab....
DO use correctly gauged "speaker" cables!
Other than that...it's your amp...do with it as you please!!!!

settings wise things are a tad different if you want to try and keep a simular feel to a quiter setting . I know that my set up throws out a lot more bass when i turn it up , and just the overall sound and fell spreads out .
just play around and find out what works best for you . always use ear protection if your getting too loud .

I have heard that i will need to buy some sort od device to keep the power at a managable level simply because its in my bedroom and do i need a power breaker or something like that and why?gtrdr wrote:So....do tell.....what did you get?!

You will be able to play at very low volumes while still enjoying crazy gain settings etc....
