Heads UPPP!!!
This is the 10th time I've had the privilege of seeing Steve play, the first time being on the 1988 DLR Skyscraper tour and as ever he didn't disappoint... in fact he seems to get better with age. I mean what's he going to be like when he's 80?
Happy Birthday Steve by the way!!
I wont spoil it for anyone who's going to see him on this tour but what I will say, the highlight for me, was witnessing tracks 5,6 & 7 of P&W. i.e "The Riddle" - one of my all time favourite Vai compositions - which was utterly breathtaking, leading into the beautiful Ballerina, culminating in the most incredible performance of "For the Love of God" I've ever seen Steve perform. I'm still getting shivers down my spine just thinking about it 3 days later.
Roll on the next tour!!!

Well worth the trip from Edinburgh. I've seen Steve play numerous times over the years and my Wife and I have had the pleasure of meeting him twice. Once in Glasgow in 2013 and just prior to this show in Newcastle. First took notice after watching the Crossroads movie and thinking to myself "Nobody really plays like that!!".. WRONG !! :D 1st time live was with Roth on the Skyscraper tour. Tremendous every time.
