Having been to an Alien Guitar Secrets masterclass before, you would think you knew what to expect. Wrong. If you can believe it, this was even better than the classes with Steve that I attended in the past. Basically, Steve starts out telling a couple of things about his career, then alternates between playing a song and answering questions from the audience. At the end, usually five people are picked up to individually jam for one or two minutes with Steve on stage. The venue was kind of odd, like a cellar. In fact, it was formerly part of the underground section of an old church.

This night, the level of information that Steve shared when answering questions was unprecedented for me. But you had to be there to really grasp how inspiring it all was. Steve is more focused now than he ever was in the past. There's a lot of humor going on too, so the atmosphere is very informal and relaxed. At one point I briefly offered my help as a translator, because even though there was a young guy sitting onstage who did the translations, and he was very good, the question in which it was formulated was kind of unusual. Basically, at the core of it was the never-ending desire to understand how someone like Steve puts his notes together. Steve's answers are usually long, detailed, and exhaustive, and they leave everybody happy. In fact, talking to some people after the class, I noticed once again how much of a positive effect Steve has on people. Everyone was really happy. One funny moment was when one of the guys who jammed with Steve onstage was clearly chuckling and shaking his head even while playing, and he was good, really. He must have been thinking something like: "How did I manage to get to do this?". It was great.

All in all, I was quietly exploding with happiness, and I still am when I recall the memories. The only other words that I can come up with are: "Thank you so much, Steve".
