After quite a disappointment in Gothenburg two days earlier this was a fantastic show that made up for everything. Denmark is great, the Danes are wonderful and the venue, Amager Bio is great. Great staff, several well places bars, balconies, ramps and steps for those of us who are not 6’5”. We squeezed in next to two great guys on the top balcony and had a clear view of the stage. There seemed to be a more tangible energy and rapport between Steve, the band and the audience.
The whole show was fabulous. Steve is such a charismatic performer with a shining presence on stage. If I have to pick some highlights, Whispering a Prayer, particularly Deborahs playing was breathtaking. Frank and The Audience is Listening were also fantastic.
The build a song concept is good fun. Big applauds to the participants – you were brilliant! I would have blacked out and lost it. When it comes to womens fantasies though, I have to agree with the girl at the earlier show. Given the choice of playing the harp or sitting on Steve’s amplifier having Bad Horsie ripping through my body, the choice would be easy (sorry Deborah!). Surely ten times better than sitting on the washing machine.
Enjoy the rest of the tour!
