Great show as usual and Steve was on fire. I think my single favorite lick was a little thing he did in Whispering a Prayer, which to me sounded like a giggling baby. Deborah started the melody on this song and that sounded amazing. Steve was standing back to watch her with his hand on his heart and a big smile on his face. It was obviously a great feeling to hear an accomplished musician interpret his song.

When not specifically featured, her harp was a bit buried in the mix. As you know, Steve's shows are LOUD. I was surprised to not hear John the Revelator since Beverly opened the show but they did play 5 others from the new album. Rescue Me or Bury Me and sections of the Fire Garden Suite were some other nice surprises for me.

After the show I got a chance to meet Steve with the Naked Pass and he was very gracious. He talked about upcoming plans for the Stravinsky Festival commission and other things on the horizon. Awesome night!
