He's a complete review..
The show started with a nice surprise ..But not gonna tell you ..
you really have to see for your self ..And then the band started to play..
A few familair tunes ..like peaches and regillia ..montana .and more..

I knew Frank ( Zappa ) was a genuine genious ...But Dweezil proved to
be a absolute stunning musician.. He and his band must have worked
for months getting it all together .

They keyboardts played the most amazing out of this world melody's
and sounds. The bassplayer was groovin' headbanging..the rhythem
guitarist played great ..the percussion was melodic and tight ..
But then there was the drummers ..Joe and Terry Bozzio ..Damm.

What they pulled of on stage was the coolest the most amazing piece
of work ever played on stage ..( even the black page was played )

And then there was Steve Vai.. That little Italian virtuoso :-D
You should have seen the dirty look he had on his face through the
most complicated pieces ..But the pulled it off . He really contributed
to the music..

And Napoleon M brock must be this planets ultimate singer ..
he reached those high notes easy ..and sang with a lot of soul and clarity.
And was the show's prime entertainer.. the guy is funny ..

But to be honest workds fail to describe how absolutly amazing and
musical the night was .. You HAVE to be there ..Sorry ..I repeat ..
you HAVE to be there ..This is a experience to never forget..

Go see zappa plays zappa ..

Why, yes I did attend :)

Words fail to describe, so if you still have the chance to go, then GO.
You'd be robbing yourself from an amazing musical experience if you didn't.
This you just have to see...!

Highlights: Sofa, Black Page 1 &2.

A really cool combination of well known folks like Steve, Terry Bozio, Napoleon Murphy Brock, Dweezil and Joe Travers, and then there are a bunch of young musicians. And they _all_ nail the most complex stuff you can imagine.

As for Steve himself, boy...he just was on fire today. Sheer perfection!

incredible .... just incredible

if you have a chance ... go see this..... please.... you can thank me later

i have never seen such a beautifull demonstration of musicianship in it's finest form.

Somewhere high above angels were dancing and one proud father must have smiled and enjoyed

It's tuesday morning 9.05. After a few hours of sleep i'm still amazed by lastnight show!!
It was UNBELIEVEABLE!! I won't spoil the fun by telling you details about how the show goes!! Like Merlinlake78 and Jeroen allready said, songs like Peaches and Regilia, Montana, Black Page, Inca Roads and a moving version of Sofa. Things got a little emotional for Dweezil playing Sofa (that guy is a true Zappa).

Napoleon Murphy Brock, what a blast to see him perform!! He is hilarious to watch. Terry Bozio, firsttime ever to see him live!! One word only....."WOW"!! Dweezil, what can I say. I knew he could play but this was amazing. Dweezil said: "It's like the Olympics playing this stuff"!!

Steve,....seeing him play this stuff live was/is unique!! Guys, this was opening night!! And if you still haven't got any tickets for the upcoming shows!! Make sure you get one!!! This concert is truely UNIQUE!!

o yeah!! At some point of the show Dweezil was trying to explain something when all of a sudden some "dickhead" threw a cd at Dweezil!!! I thought Dweezil was going to stop the show for sure!! But he handled it right by telling the guy who threw the cd at him, to leave the venue!! The crowd yelled him out and the guy left!!
To bad that happend.

Almost three hours (!) of the most impressive music. Instead of a greatest hits show, it was a good retrospective of FZ's music, at least in my opinion. And, man, did Steve Vai play amazing! Intense! He even sort of 'hurt' himself: at the end of one solo (was it in Zomby Woof?) he pulled his fingers of the strings, screaming 'augh'... He was better than I have ever seen and heard him play. I still have a smile from ear to ear...

H Musichall review

#13 Post by KNETTER » Tue May 16, 2006 5:23 am

Hi there my first thingy,

It was amazing we have enjoyed the concert so much,
I knew Dweezil's playing and of course mr Vai's but together and surrounded by such impressive caliber of musicians, really this performance stunned us all, and that #%&_@#*&%_ oetlulletje van een
dropkneus or who ever it was that throwed something on stage after he was dragged away,he-(and by the way so impressive("impressive most impressive":(voice of Senator Palpetine) or something like that anyway!....ooops sorry bit out of the bloody topic!)

professional solved by the band, and Steve making a funny short joke to put things on track again, well done!).

so where was i .....ehm.....ah yes....-he missed the most amazing playing in a long while i've seen Steve on Stage, you could really feel his frustration and anger, and above all the passion it was all in that solo bit, really really good!!!, this was Vai at his best ever 'cause the feel was so intence(could feel it from where we were sitting, in the backseats!!!)

And the band is so amazing the drummers, percussionists, keys, guitarists the singers wow!!!, you have to see it!

and personally, i am finally motivated again and very inspired by Dweezil and Mr. Vai, who knows? maybe i do really can find the musicians i am looking for?
 :guitar
