Animal dude, very good song :) I liked the feeling in it. Very athmospheric. Nice :)

Kristian, good work too. It's a shame though to not being able to hear that with drums, bass, etc. I'm sure it'd sound much better with that. Why don't you "get" (ehum! *cough*) some programs and write the backing tracks in those programs?
Good work anyway. :)

To be honest with you I don't know what program to use. I did what I could with the little recording equipment that I have. Sorry if it sucked.

hey hey hey! I did NOT say it sucked :D I said: "Good work" and that it was a shame I couldn't hear it with more instruments! :P
I thought it sounded promising dude, sorry that you misunderstood me.

And about what program to use, you can try something like Fruity Loops. You can "get" some plug ins for it and then try it out.
Or even write the songs in guitar pro.

Good luck and Good Work.

Yikes, I hope I'm not too late but the first post says 30th of September as the closing date.

Here's my entry. Not a new song, but my pc's been busted for a while so I haven't had any opportunities to record any new tracks.

Hmm, gotta say I'm stuck on choosing which song to vote for. I really like Ugur's song, and I really like 'The Little Italian' and 'Mice Party' was really different and cool.

Desicions, desicions!

I liked that. Sometimes gave me a bit of an Ozric Tentacles vibe, with the synths and all. Nice production too.

wow, i thought i was regular reader of vai forums, but i almost missed this one :D

anyway, i just listened to ALL of the entries...gosh, it's gonna be one hell of a competiton :D

here is my entry :

"Brale Mortale (walz for Jason)"

http://www.soundclick.com/bands/songInf ... ID=4522558

I wrote this funny tune about a year ago as a tribute to Jason Becker. It was inspired by his "Air", so whole piece is played on el. guitar, clean sound, it starts as classical sounding piece (fingerstyle and stuff) but ends a little different (plectrum:D) with 2 guitars on ecstasy. have fun
