All you need is love. But a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt.

Thank you. My aim with this thread is exactly that... When you need a lift, when you need a happy... for whatever reason, you can find one here.
Coz sometimes, it is hard. Sometimes it seems d@mn-near impossible. I've been there.
I know that sometimes, a little reminder can make a big difference.
Sometimes, a little spark is all it takes...

Today...
I will not linger on yesterday,
Nor will I worry about tomorrow.
For I am here
Today.

Ask yourself:
Have I been Kind today?
Make Kindness your daily modus operandi

I know that not everyone has the time to do this, but if you should find the opportunity, I strongly suggest getting up early enough to catch the birds singing Dawn Chorus one morning.
It's so gorgeous, the still quiet of morning, before the Sun has fully risen, and then you hear a single bird begin.
It begins in the East, one bird greeting the Sun, moving West to alert the world...
And from that one bird, begins the music! More and more voices swell, filling the air with so many songs... it's one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard! The songs of the Dawn Chorus are not like the calls that you may hear through the rest of the day. They are unique to the morning.

Even if you think there aren't many birds in the immediate area, because you don't see many in the day, you might be startled at how many you could hear. Even in cities, there are many birds that have adapted to the environment, calling the cities home as much as any suburban yard, open country space, or woods or lake side, or ... wherever!

Listening to the birds begin the day with music... it's just one of those things, a simple moment of beauty that you can take in for free. A quiet and gentle way to just be in a moment. Just you, the bird song, (and maybe a nice warm cup of coffee  ) as the day, and the world, begin to wake.

Also lovely is their Twilight performance. Just as they start the day with song, they close each night with another. Unique again, it is a different one, less boisterous than Dawn, but such a beautiful serenade, before the crickets and spring froggies take the night shift.

*and yes. I know it's easier in some places to hear this than in others. I'm glad to be where I can hear it so easily. But keep your ears open. Try to tune in to the sounds of nature whenever you can. It's a precious feeling, when you can catch something lovely like that, even through the din of human activity.

I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living, it's a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope. Which is what I do, and that enables you to laugh at life's realities.

I don't have a whole lot right now, coz the computer is really dragging. But I do wanna' say that the Good Happiness Stuff doesn't have to be only Sunshine. Sometimes the Rain is something too beautiful...
A kind of randomness of the drops on the sidewalk, off the edge of the roof, from the trees... Wind and steady Rain creating a gentle 'white-noise' and the occasional flash of distant Lightning followed by it's long-rolling rumble Thunder through the Clouds. It's quiet, yet stirring around the Energy. Washing away the pollen from the still Air. Watering the gardens, refreshing the Air, filling birdbaths and creating big ol' puddles for the kids splash in.
I may not see the Honeybees or the Butterflies through the rain, but the Hummingbirds still come around! And the Cat is content to stay inside and snooze
All around, very nice. I like the Rainy days as well as the Sunshiny ones. Dark Moon nights as well as the Full Moon nights. The quiet as well as the loud, stillness as well as activity...
A balance between the extremes...

...I now return you to your regularly scheduled thread... or something.

 So whatever your weather, have wonderful day!
