I only wanted to see one of my old PMs, and know I find all this stuff....

So I have to make 10 posts to view them again, right?

I just noticed there's an 'add as friend' / 'add as foe' option when you're looking at users' profiles. I'm a little bemused - surely identifying someone as a 'foe' goes against the spirit of this messageboard?

hmm will take some getting used to, it's really compact on my screen.

Just noticed this as I was typing, on my screen (1680x1050) there are too many smilies in one line on the left hand side of the screen, taking up a massive chunk of the screen when there really isn't many smilies. Would be better to squash them down so theres no more than 5 in a row or something, so there's a nice small box of them.

The forum as you see it is basically 'out of the box'. phpBB2 has reached its end of life and phpBB3 is its replacement.

The color-scheme and layout you see is one of two included 'themes' - one that closely resembles the theme used default in phpBB2.

Right now we are working to get all the functionality we want up & running. Most of it actually is, especially those that are interesting for you, the user, such as the chat-room.
Functions like 'friend or foe' as well as the color-scheme and layout used are just what came out of the box. There are tons and tons of new features and functions and there will be a bunch that are completely useless to us. Some of them are actually quite cool though, such as the ignore filter and for us the ability to better deal with spammers.

We will be making a new look for the forum eventually though.

Thumbs up to you Mikey and Jeroen, I'm slowly discovering some new features - i.e. the "save" option for posts, or the new layout of the PMs section. Everything looks very neat, well arranged and sometimes even more practical. :)

It's freshened the board up nicely. Can it be set so links in threads open in new windows?

Cheers

That functionality was not included by the developers for reasons of compatibility. However, there's a hack that I can apply to make it work like that again - which I'll install soon.
