It sounds exactly like tender Surrender from Alien Love Secrets...

The first chords of that ballad are the same of Tender Surrender, but the whole song is quite different.

I suppose that guy listens to a lots of Steve (and in fact there's a Shyboy cover in there) and maybe He took some inspiration to write that other song... :roll:

Hm, well I've always thought Jimi Hendrix's "Villanova Junction" off the Live at Woodstock album had some similarities to "Tender Surrender."

It's cool to trace back a song. You could say no song is entirely original because artists borrow ideas from each other.

Well no, that song does have a lot more similarites to Tender Surrender. The chord pattern under the vocals, the guitar licks at the beginning.....not exactly the same, but definitely recognizably similar.
