FYI - The vai.com link in the upper left corner of the forum page is pointing to:

http://development.vai.com/

and doesn't work.

Ahh, nice catch. So that's where it came from.
development site is my copy of the site where I build and test stuff, and this one slipped through the cracks.

I'll fix it. Thanks :)

well now that Steve has more of a presence on this board (thanks, Steve), we can sort of cross that off of the metaphorical "list".

I think it would be really cool to maybe have a sort of "tour log" for this tour. I know there has been things like that in the past, but I think it could be like a weekly thing, like a video or blog kind of thing. I know you guys sort of do that with Facebook and sort of on here, but an actual dedicated mini site or part of the forum, or something else would really be cool. Again, almost like Dave Weiners riff of the week, but for tour log.

Problem with that is that it's practically just difficult to get anything regular going while on tour.
There are time issues, sometimes there's no internet, etc etc. Usually Steve's schedule is pretty full with press, evo and personal stuff, so anytime he can get something is cool, but it's not something we can plan.

heres a really weird idea- but here it goes:

A camera on vais glasses- It would be cool to see what vai sees when he plays- not in a creepy way lol, but a cool way- to see him playing looking down at the guitar- be it flo Evo bo whatever- Ewing him play from his own eyes, you'll see when he switches channels and stuff. Whatever etc- it's kind of a fun idea- I'm sure Thomas could find a way to do that for the next tour and then you could release it as extras for a DVD or a YouTube thing.

Just a question...

Steve's Christmas/Holiday greeting...
I can't find it!
A friend did, and so I got to see it (nice one, BTW, I love the message he wrote)
But how come I can't find it anywhere?
Where is it hiding? What happened? :?

Just wondering...

Thank you so much for the link, J

p.s. : I have checked various mailboxes but nothing from you / Vai / Steve there, though I thought I had registered to the mailing list in July (and not last September). I suppose it is better to register again than ...

LOL! I looked at it as generic 'guys'...
It's become almost a "gender neutral" term

**pm on the way from me, too**

Alright folks - the new site is here.

The plan was to have the forums completely integrate with the rest of the site - so that you can use your forum account to comment on news items etc, but as well as it worked in test, as crappy it is now in the live site, so I nixed it for now.
It's still a big wish for us to have you be able to respond not just on the forum, but on other parts of the site as well, so I'm going to see what other solutions there may be.

Meanwhile, this new site is fresh as can be - so if you find something that isn't working OK yet, feel free to post here, and I'll take care of it.

A lot of the site has been tested, but since it's completely rebuild, there's bound to be stuff falling through the cracks.

Cheers :)

A little update to this:
All the previous issues with logging in, getting Captcha etc, should be gone.
