The basic chords are: Em, G, Am, Em, Bm, Bbm, Am, C, G, F, C, D.

When I play this live with my band, the chords we use are: Em9, Gsus2, Am11, Em9, Bm7, Bbm7, Am7, C, Gsus2, Fmaj7, C, D.

Hope this helps.

to be honest with you (and Steve himself) i didn't like Steve's version of little wing!
this song is meant to be played by Strat and single coil. there is just one version of this song that bring tears in my eyes when ever i hear it and i strongly blieve it's even better than the original version, and it's belong to Stevie Ray Vaughan.

No need to say that it's just a personal idea and i'm a big fan of steve Vai and real leftymonster(jimi Hendrix).

^ I was going to say that too.

I didn't like how he changed it, Jimi's version is much better.

NO ONE, and i mean NO ONE can touch Jimi Hendrix. No matter how you do it, you're going to sound like some third rate amateur.

I've heard Vai's on the DVD, I've heard SRV's on The Sky Is Crying, and I've heard THE original. And Jimi's still the best.

Either write one of the guitar magazines or learn the root and basic framework of the original piece, cuz that's definitely available, and then use your ear to fit in the parts that Steve added and a little bit of your own jive. You can do it, if you really want to. I think that's your only solution because the odds of them transcribing the live Astoria version are slim.
