I`ve got a book called "In session with Steve Vai" which has notation/tabs/backing tracks to the following amongst others:

FTLOG
Juice
Crying Machine
Sisters
Attitude Song

I can highly recommend it.

Psyco - Those are illegal copies of backing tracks included in Hal Leonard's 'Steve Vai: Guitar Styles & Techniques' which is available to purchase here. Plus, if you buy the book you get tab with it. ;)

PROHIBITED TYPES OF CONTENT:
- Bootlegging, piracy, unauthorized filesharing or discussion about other ILLEGAL activities

You sure on that? They sound like they were ripped off of the Guitar Techniques CD - I have the one with 'Crazy Train' on it and recognize the guys english accent on the intro to one.

I'm sure. I have the backing tracks (for the Vai stuff) and clearly recognized them as the Hal Leonard music. The others I cannot vouch for. ;)

Is "In Session With Steve Vai", and "Hal Leonard's 'Steve Vai: Guitar Styles & Techniques'" the same thing? Because I want to buy one of these today, but I want to get the better one.

Basically, I want the full background tracks, and full tabs. I'd like to know the tabs for background guitars too, but if not that's ok.

If "In Session..." is better, I can't seem to find a store in America that sells it. Is there one?

thanks for any help...

Really, it's not that hard, now is it? It's only mentioned 3 times before in this thread.

Please do not spread any backingtracks that are available from commercial sources, such as the official tab books and Naked Vamp series. It's piracy and not cool.
