In the song For the Love of God, how do you hit that high D in the third verse?
In some videos, I saw Steve bending that string up and using the whammy bar to bend the note from A to D...
but i only have an ibanez RG WITHOUT a whammy bar.... (how weird)

is it possible to hit that note by using harmonics? if so, where would that harmonic be?

Any help is appreciated!

Actually, any note above the first twelve frets can be played by using harmonics.

I'm sorry I don't have the song right now, and so I can't find where exactly the harmonic is. But if you know it's a D, just keep trying different harmonics on the top of any D note, and you'll eventually hit it, guaranteed.

Good luck, mate :headbang

Oh, sorry, I was talking about artificial harmonics

This vid should help you out on how to do it:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e5HHl-SQRIo

So, what I ment by "on top of D", was that you get one of your fretting fingers, put it on any D on the fretboard (the higher it is on the fretboard and the higher the string you're playing on is, the higher the harmonics you can play on that string will be) and try to play an artificial harmonic out of it, until you get the right note Steve plays.

PS: If it's still confusing after watching that video, feel free to ask any question you like :)
