He plays some sweeps at 0.23-0.29 also which should be strict alternate picking...just sounds messy.

Why does everybody try to play it faster than they can :?

'Should be....'? '....messy'? Its very impressive and I'd love to be able to play as 'badly' as that!

FYI this "guy" is daniele Gottardo who is IMHO, far beyond your average"youtube" shredder to say the least...watch his cover of the simpsons theme(including all the crazy violin runs)

And if his version of ETB is "messy" then I don't know what would be good enough for you then...

With respect, I think we all know that a a one-armed, Madagascan Dwarf chimp, whizzing on speed and playing to this standard would be slightly impressive

Calm down  He is very impressive obviously and yes i know who he is and yes hes the best youtuber i've seen too

I'm just saying if he slowed it down a tad it would be better as it sounds a little bit rushed..

Well you actually suggested it was 'just messy' when in fact its as tight a duck bottom! It is a little quicker that the recorded version but I think its well within the acceptable limits of 'interpretation'.

The sound is crappy on this one, but the fingering is interesting--he's all over the place and not necessarily using the minimal movement but he's definitely got it under control.

Heres a point...all PAL DVD's are sped up slightly (4% apparently) this might account for people thinking it was sped up....

people with NTSC DVD's should have it at the correct speed :headbang

I agree ...
about Eugene Trick Bag , I would say , don´t get obsessed, maybe forget it for a while , try other things , practice the routines slowly , clean and with patience , and you´ll see it´ll get better.
I think it´s not good to get overworked with one lick that gives you hard time , not good for the fingers , and not goot for the mind , well ... that´s my opinion.

good luck and have fun.
