My post was written with a fair amount of sarcasm.

as was mine.
I cant think of anything so crass as to joke about someones weight.
I do however, agree that his playing is sloppy

I personally hate this kind of playing. I was only surprised by the sweep-tapping thing he did. I have never seen it before :?

He's fast, but to me it just sounded like a bunch of noise honestly :P . A good way to show off in the local guitar shop I guess but there's nothing musical about it.

Shawn Lane, Yngwie Malmsteen and Michael Romeo

VS

Guthrie Govan, Allan Holdsworth and Michael Angelo (SCNR ^^)

I think, it's a draw. Though I do not know anyone actually faster (and cleaner at the same time) than old Shawn Lane.

WTF, it's all about the music (and the groupies o.^)

By the way, I think the technique this guy "tried" to emulate was eight-finger-tapping...

If you wanna see real eight-fingerlings, check out:

And Dave Kilminster!

I'd like to see that fella play with some feel. He's obviously got chops, but it just ain't all about speed and flashy techniques is it? I bet he could actually play though, and he's just gone down the old "better do my most wanky stuff for the cameras, to impress the non players" road! C'mon we're all a wee bit guilty of that at times, aren't we??? No?? Just me then.........
