Well, this could go in the Technique section or GMD, so here it is. Changed title too, so the real subject is reflected.

Are you looking to slow the audio down (as well as lowering the pitch) or time stretch it?

Peace,

Mikey :)

I don't know?just space the notes farther apart so I can learn it.I mean that solo is as close to sloppy jumble as you can get, without being that.I can play that fast, speed isn't the problem,I just can't learn stuff when it's that fast.

Well, if you time stretch audio, you can actually retain the pitch, but slow down the actual tempo. I use Bias PEAK for that, but I also used SoundEdit 16 back in the day. I'm on a Mac. These are both consumer/prosumer products.

There are probably lots of free apps available at www.download.com - give it a try.

good Luck,

Mikey

If your into recording on a PC, most recording software will
slow all the action for you keeping true pitchingo r any other
way you tweak it.

I would buy a cheaper Cakewalk program to slow things down,
then you get twice the power on your software, your recording and
slowing your tunes. Good Luck 8)

If it's on a CD, try the Musicians CD Player. I can't remember where I got it - have a look on Google or Download.com

Firstly in the bottom right you will see a directory tree.
Scroll down until you find your cd rom drive (usually Audio CD (D:\))
and double click on that icon.

then double click on the track displayed to the right of the directory tree that you want in the file window
(track_06 for track 6)

Then put your mouseee where all the vertical lines are horizontal with "track_xx) then left click and hold down and scroll right until it stops and wont let you paste any more.

then right click on the symbol with a slightly curved arrow on the right side and goto properties in the little menu that comes up.
Next to track type select Loop.
then hit yes to the popup box.

Then all you have to do is slide the bar next to "120 bpm" to the left to slow it down or to the right to speed it up.

then just use the play, stop, pause, ffwd and rwd buttons

well acid didn't work,i'd have to buy it(which I'm pretty sure I'll have to buy sumthin' to do what I want.),so I remembered slowgold, but I don't know if it'll work either.it said 15 seconds of the first two tracks of any cd for free, but I don't know if that's any 15 seconds,or just the first 15,but I'll find out I guess.I've heard lotsa' good stuff about slowgold,so I'll proly' buy.Well there's $50 more that get's away from my jem savings

Can you slow down the tempo of a song with "Acid XPress 3.0", or do you have to buy another version of it?

Mine doesn't seem to be working. I can load a track, but nothing plays when I hit the play button.

You must paste in the track though.
