im an owner of a 7dblk and i enjoy it.

things i like about it

: a heavier tone out of the pickups

: light as HELL!

: great whammy bar

: nice slim neck profile

there isnt really i dont like about it. its a great guitar and i got a really good deal on it (700). to be honest since i bought it i played the hell out of it for the 1st week or so but my 7vh has been begging for me to play her, and played her i have.

i just need to fix the action on it and then it will be perfect

i (AB)use the hell out of my whammy bar with my 7dblk, and it never goes out of tune.

it could be a number of reasons why yours goes out of tune

both double locking nuts secured?

is the tension between your strings/springs adjusted?

are you using a new set of strings?

dude, you have a thread about this at jemsite.

Its not abnormal, many guitars have the problem, just follow the steps at ibanez rules.com

I've played on one in the store but haven't bought one... the only thing I really didn't like was the finish style. I just can't make myself like the texture enough to pay more than 500 dollars for the instrument, and I haven't run across one at that price yet. (nor do I figure I will...)

My DBK never goes out of tune. Stretch new strings and don't lock them at the nut until they are stretched.

Steve has at least 4 DBKs. One of them has LED lights in the neck and a laser in the headstock like the mirror-top Jem.

An interesting bit of trivia: The guitar has the same texture as the studio consoles and surfaces in The Mothership.

You'll love this guitar. Pay between $575-$650 and you're in great shape. I own one of these and it's one of my favorite guitars to play. Good luck!

congrats it's an awesome guitar :D

the only things i don't like:
1)the all black pickups/knobs against the chrome are to me for some strange reason not aesthetically pleasing, so each pickup is half chrome now thanks to Brian (universaljems.com) and his bobbin toppers

2) the screwhead inlays, soon to be replaced with MIRRORED INLAYS!!!!

beware the chrome/black beast!! :D
