Hi,

I would like some suggestions....
I'm thinking of buying a new JEM. Frankly, I'm not sure I like the gold hardware of the white 7V.
Is Ibanez have plan to replace it soon ? What are the other options ?
The best would be the EVO replica I guess....but over 7000$ !!!!

Thanks for any inputs....

In another note, I met Mr Vai in Montreal with the EVO experience. What a gentlemen !

To take a look at the current Jem lineup go to ibanez.com.

There's the white 7V, the floral pattern 77, the sea foam green 70V, and in some countries there are still a few white 555s. The only one with gold hardware is the 7V, all the others have chrome.

This is if you're going to get yourself a new one. Used ones, that's another story.

If I really didn't want gold hardware (and had the money) I would go with the 77FP2, the floral pattern one, which I think is beautiful by the way.

Grazie Samuele,

I'll have to try them at the store before I take my decision...
Anyway, the FP2 seems a good option !
Thanks !

you could always swap out the gold trem for a different one (though ibanez is not selling original edges anymore- i bought the last one).

Did you compare it with the 7V ?
I guess changing the gold hardware on the 7V would make it quite identical to the 25th anniversary EVO....i can beat it myself ! :headbang
Thanks for the suggestions so far...!

Hehehe that's a good deal !

I'm trying to find a used one that I could see and try (not really a fan of ordering via ebay). I'll get in touch with you when I'll have it.
Thanks for the idea...
