Which Ibanez?

#1 Post by KayeM » Thu Nov 16, 2006 3:35 am

Hey Guys,

I've only been playing guitar a year but I'm looking to move up quite a bit from my Fender Squier Strat to an Ibanez.

What would be your recommendation for an Ibanez costing around $1000 AU ?

Thanks,
KayeM :guitar

I say get an Ibanez S470, they are awsome, I personally am not into the RG series for some reason. You however may like them and some of them are fairly affordable. But in my opinion, get an S series, they have great playablity and the tremolo is amazingly smooth.

Thanks for the advice guys,

I guess I'll have to try out the S series and RG series to see what I like better.

:D
I think a used JEM may be out of the price range

its a good idea to look around for a good used guitar, a used jem would be nice but hard to find at that money id say, a used prestige rg or somthing would be nice

Yes! Great guitar, allthough it needs alot of care so don't just buy it and drop it on the couch.

Well, I own an RG250Bzp, I've installed an EVO pickup on the bridge, and It sounds awesome!
Even better than my JEM555.
