through out this thread are pictures of the 2nd hand guitar body that I've painted and installed a fernandes Sustainer, DiMarzio Chopper and Evo pickups into showing different stages.

It's finished! yay, pretty much a whole year of on and off work, My project is finally.. no longer a "project" its an INSTRUMENT

The camera doesn't show this.. but the paint actually changes from purple to orange gold then to a light lime green colour depending on what angle you're on.

This picture ^^ shows the Celtic cross that I designed.. It was lasered on by a friend who owns an engravers company.

Does anyone know where I can get the routing template for an Edge Bridge?? This looks as if they are going to use and Edge type trem. It is a very nice guitar by the way. The body looks compact and graceful.

Hey resha!
I didn't do almost anything on my guitar for the last month. We finished it 99%, and as I said before I had problems with finding right paint. Here in Serbia there are no transparent paint (candy apple red) and I cannot order that from USA. The closest was ALSA Corp. dealer I found in europe, but their paints are WAAAY cool and WAAAAAAAAY expensive (only candy concetrate would cost me 70euro with shipping). They also have chrome color (like satch's guitar) which I wanted to put as a basecoat, but it's even more expensive (about 60$ for spray enought for 1 sqare feet). So I gave it up: I'm not making any transparent/candy paint job. I'll get polyurethane paint (nice red, like satch's CA1200 just not candy) and do it very soon.
Today I got some time to work on it, we did neck joint holes, some tremolo routing modification and neck pocket. After some final edge beveling on body it will be ready for painting. I'll post photos when I do it.
By the way, I made tube amp in the meantime, you can find photos at photobucket.com/albums/c22/bancika/FireFly/

oh I'm sorry you can't have the color you wanted :(
it's a shame that costs and everything makes it to hard to get it :x

anyway the CA1200 red would be really really nice too :wink:

The bridge is an Ibanez Lo-Pro.. I can't stand Edges.

I've just recently changed the back control cavity cover.
It's clear acryllic and its been frosted around the edges.. (sand blasted)

I've taken some pictures which kind of show how it changes colour..
and Also showing the control cavity.

Instead of routing into the guitar.. I dremeled..( a dremel is a small rotary tool that can be used for many different things aslong as you have the appropriate fittings)

Let me explain the picture..
the green is the circuit board.
the white was the original shape of the cavity.. roughly
the red is how far I cut into the guitar - VERY close to the tremolo cavity.. but still not into it.
Now.. that was perfectly fine.. however the circuit didnt fit.. SO.. I had to cut out the YELLOW to make the circuit fit in..so that the top right corner would fit. aswel as that bit black box thingy on the circuit board..


I dont know what those parts are called.. Transformer maybe?

anyhow. thats how i got it to fit.
