I was looking through the gallery of Ibanez Rules, and oh my god, those old jems are fucking hot. And the 10th annaversary, the red lace, WOAH. I was just wondering why these weren't on Mr. Vai's site under his machines, i mean did he ever play these much? I love the pyrimid inlays haha.

Red lace is under his "machines" link. Infact, I recommended this as the 50k celebration model (with mods ofcourse).

I'd guess that if they weren't there, there could be two possible explanations.

1. Someone hasn't documented them yet.

2. He doesn't own it.

I think the Red Lace was auctioned.

He designed them, yes, but he just doesn't play them. I think we would be suprised, I bet there are ordinary people out there that actually own more Jems than the master himself. Really, I know a guy that has over twenty Jems:) Most of them seven strings!
Vai is just sticking with the 7v, which is why I feel comfortable buying/owning one, evo, his main guitar is a 7v. This allows us to be sure that he wil play the 7vwh for years to come. 8)
