I am a proud Jem owner at age fifteen, I have heard that some adults that have been vai fans for years don't even have a jem yet. Just guess I'm lucky!

I got one for only 700. BUt it was an old used 555, but who cares? All i do is lemon oil the neck and its perfect.

When I was 17, last Christmas as a Christmas present. :D I'm still paying them back for it, lol.

It was right before the price shot up to over $2,000 USD. But now that Steve's signature is on the back, it's gotta' be worth more. :mrgreen:

At 31 I bought a 7VWH, when my salary almost doubled. No money before then.

I did buy an original 550 though when I was 15. Very similar to a JEM in term of playablity. Not so in terms of sound!
