Jemfest RADIO MP3 streaming audio (TESTING!)

#1 Post by Ricky Garcia » Tue Jun 17, 2003 1:21 pm

Hey guys!

I just installed a streaming MP3 server here in Houston which I have online in the next couple of days for testing and see if we can work with that for a possible audio stream of Jemfest in Orlando 27-28 June. Please let us know how it works for you so we can get some experiences with this software!! When I have the server online and running I will indicate here:

Doesn't seem to be working for me. I get a 'timeout' error in Winamp. Is your server still running?

Works fine for me. Got the stream first try with no problems. I'm using iTunes4 on a Mac G4 runing OSX.

Mod777: Do you have a firewall? Even a simple one like Zonealarm can block any traffic especially if you have your mp3 player blocked for any online usage at all...

So far I am getting only good responses from people all around the planet telling me it works. How many users we can handle at once with a good quality I can not tell bye now... we will have a Live sound test this saturday during the MINI jam incl. the webcam.

Mikey: I would say if a PC and a MAC shake hands online and it seems to work thats allways a good sign.

Firewall was the problem. Thanks for the tip - running fine now. Looking forward to viewing and hearing the jem fest in Florida.
