It's gettin' closer....I'm begining to change strings on the guitars....gettin' myself psyched up for the drive down to Orlando. :-)

I still can't believe the UNREAL talent we have this year. Pick a name on the list- any name....they rock. It's not like those "palooza" shows where you go to see one or two bands, and have to wait all day because the other 9 openers blow. At Jemfest, one after the other..rock, rock, rock, oh look- shred!..then some more rock...then another big ol' chunk of rock...then some Eric frickin' Sands, then some Balducci, then some Finn rippin' it.

Chock full of goodness. That's what it is. :-)
AND IT'S FREE ADMISSION! (Donations are welcome, of course).
Be sure to book your hotel room- they go pretty damn quick. Don't forget to mention the Group Code ("JEM") in order to get the discounted rate ( Regularly, the rooms are $139/night).

(Try getting into a DT show at HOB for free. :-P )

Thanks Mikey!! Great post on the site!

Iain has been over all weekend, and we've been getting things together (and jamming a bit...ok, a lot. LOL). Today is "Re-Stringing Day". :-)

How ready are we for this trip? Well, here are some pics from Saturday's fun:
http://www.jemfest.com/misc/kevan/nonem ... ngoswitch/
I stopped playing and got off the phone long enough to put these guys in the truck.
(The pic of the top of my head is of me attaching that inverter to the bottom of the seat....BLINDLY! LOL...took me about 30 minutes.)

We're gonna do a group shot of the guitars that are gonna get packed in the truck tomorrow. I'll get those up online ASAP, along with some "packed truck" pics.
Note to Rich Harris: GET YOUR DROOL BIB! Harsh pics to follow. LMAO

Don't forget to reserve your hotel room! They're goin' really fast now. www.jemfest.com
We'll see you all in a few days! WooHoo!

Well, here we are.
A pantload of guitars.
A truck full of gear.
10 wickedly-awesome artists.
...and two geeky guys with computers and a high speed net connection.
LOL

We're all setup. Some of you were checking out the webcast last night. I hope you enjoyed the room jam. We'll try to do that again tonight. Who knows who you might see in Room 640 jammin' away....heh heh....

For those of you staying home this year, I'm sorry to hear that. We've got some great stuff planned, LOTS of surprises, and of course, a few sets of badass music.

Why I'm awake right now, I'm not quite sure. Ricky, Gabe and Welsh Pete played until the sun came up on the horizon. I guess I'll go wait for our raffle items (the large boxes, hint hint) to show up...acost the UPS guy.

Lots of people are scheduled to show up today, and many will probably stop by Room 640 to jam a little. Go to www.jemfest.com and click on the webcam link. As we tweak it, you may catch some cool video.
Or you may see Kirk & Rich posting a Jemfest booger on Ebay. :-)

Whew...ok..more posts, pics and VIDEO soon!

P.S.- BIG HIGH 5 to Mikey for hookin' us up this year. I'd give him a high 5, but I'm only 6'1". I'd have to stand on an amp first. :-)

Carlo- The Powers Of Ten CD is locked in a safe deposit box at my bank in OH. I can't risk losing that one. You know how it is...heh heh.

I saw a part of the webcast - despite being so far from the stage, the camera worked well as did audio.

You jammy jammy sod!

I recall that the bass was mixed quite loud to begin with, nice try Pete ;) you'll land that bass session spot soon.

Seriously though, great stuff Pete n Simon. I look forward to meeting up again in the UK Jemfest :).

Cheers
Mark.
