Here are some great audio files from a gig during a recent clinic tour I went on with Guthrie after NAMM. There are some great tones here and superb playing as usual from the incomparable Guthman. Guthrie's gear here is his Suhr Signature Set-Neck Modern model through the Suhr Badger 30w head and a pair of Suhr 1x12 cabinets loaded with Celestion V30 and Celestion Heritage G12-65 speakers. The only effects used here are: Eventide Time Factor delay pedal in the effects loop, Suhr Koko Boost to push the amp into saturation for the high-gain solo parts, Guyatone WR3 auto-wah, Dunlop Cry-Baby Jerry Cantrell Signature Wah that the Dunlop people loaned for this gig, and a Providence Anadime analog chorus pedal.
Guthrie met these musicians for the gig for the first time in the afternoon and did about an hour of rehearsal and then went straight into the gig after the product clinic, so as Guthrie says, don't expect anything that's "over-rehearsed" but this is pretty good stuff. The outro solo that starts at around 6:20 of the first track 'Sevens' is pretty amazing. It's the ideal mix of tone, feel, phrasing, creativity, and his typically mind-boggling technique in one 2-minutes-or-so solo. Enjoy!http://www.mediafire.com/?zvuwicncssf46
