i was also at the glasgow gig, it was pretty good, i was also dissapointed that mike didn't do this show, due to Vai commitments, the sound was ok, but allen's bass tone was simply horrible and his playing i am afraid to say fairly sloppy, had hoped stu would be on this tour he brings so much more to joe's rythem section IMO

After the many trips and concerts very recently, finally I bought the Wormhole CD one week before the concert I attend. The first times I listened was on my van or work and only the 1st 4 songs of the album. I was a bit ceptic but than I started to listening all the album and I have a very good impression with the keyboards added mostly after the 5th song. So, my expectations was very high for the concert itself after what I listened on the album and for the new line up, because, for me, Mike Keneally have the Midas Touch!!! Despite the good ears and hears :lol:

The concert was much more bigger than my expectations :guitar

I enjoyed the concert so much and have lot's of fun and watching they play, at least in this particular concert, seems to me that they ALL have a great time and really enjoyed playing in front of this great great audience.

What I read about the sound on the other concerts was about not good bass playing and almost nobody listening MK keys. Well, I think I have been in a really great spot because the keyboard speaker was really near me and so I got all the lines Mike played and enjoyed so much. Like the bass playing, for me was superb and in my opinion, much more than Stu, also the interaction between Allen and the crowd was always happening. And enjoyed the bass sound when he played with the Yamaha bass, powerfull :headbang

I must say that was only my 3rd time I saw Joe, on stage, not coming from the supermarket :lol: :mrgreen: . Saw in 1996 opening for AC/DC and enjoyed!!! Later only saw in the next appearence in Portugal for a long absence in 2008 and thought to myself that probably not gonna see another Joe concert, thought was more cheaper to stay at home and watch a Joe DVD... But glad Mike enjoyed the line-up!!! For the ones who have the chance to see Joe in this tour, I bet you gonna get a great concert!!!

A personal note... Was my 1st time I meet Joe, Jeff and Gallen and enjoyed all the moments. 1st time with Allen too but spended lot's of time together and I must say that he is a great guy full of energy and positive vibes. And Mike, what can I say? Thanks is never enough... :P

Feel free to take a look at my pictures (oncluding the set-list) taken with a cheesy camera with the lens ruined by rain in this link:

Hope it works... Thanks for reading this;

"The Golden Room" is my favorite from the album. It's more about the production than the pure rip your face off soloing, it is just one of those trance songs that sound freaking great.
