Before I forget...

It might not be Dance music... but to mention a few artists related to dance in some way:

Everyone really should check out:
Röyksopp - Melody A.M.
Daft Punk - Discovery
Trentemôller
Nerve - Prohibited Beatz (with Jojo Mayer... Free downloadable on the net!
AND NOT ILLEGAL !
he uploaded it on many sharing sites himself (jojo mayer that is),
because he was tired of waiting for a producer  )
Boards of Canada
Massive Attack

My own project

I think its great, very different to what I usually hear but there are some good songs out there. I don't know if they have much emotion or feeling, but I love how Trance music artists kind-of play with the atmosphere with their music.

Hate the music that's made just with the intention of money behind it.

Couldn't agree more about Röyksopp and Daft Punk.

Also like Boards of Canada, and my friends are Massive Attack fans. I haven't listened to them much, but I should.

Not a fan. It is for dancing. THAT'S IT. When people drive around w/ that shit blasting it's robotic, repetitive, beat, you have to wonder. It is dance music, not listening music.

yeah well that's the problem with labelling music, to me royksopp, daft punk or Massive Attack :!:  are(to me anyway) creatively and artistically in such a different planet that I certainly can't associate them with the hum.... thing which composes 90% of the music played in nightclubs, that is the disposable muzzak often craftily designed by greedy producers.(think huge beats/basslines/annoying poor ultra short melodic nuisances)

that video, to me, is what I consider "art":

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nFwIXgxg ... re=related" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Definitely not "dance music" in my book.

Dancing leads to sex. Didn't you people see Footloose? It's a bad thing and must be eradicated.
