Greetings all,

Just got in from the guitar show at the Excel. What a blast! I'll share some photos of the performances on the live stage I took when I can upload them.

Anyone else attend? How did you find the experience? I think the performance that blew me away by a long shot was Govan's set and jam with Billy Sheehan. Once in a lifetime experience :D

Here are some early pics of Guthrie jamming with Billy Sheehan. There should be a bunch of pro pics coming soon. I wonder if anyone has a vid of this jam. It must have been really amazing.

I thought gilbert was excellent, so much better than when he supported joe. When his backing tracks started skipping he just ad-libbed some stuff, including hendrix, without even breaking a sweat. awsomely good.

Some more herky-jerky phone vids from the London Guitar Show

I guess Yngwie just can't play without that wall of Marshalls behind his back. I read that a crew of guys stacked up all those heads and cabs just before his set.

I'm sure more stuff of this jam will pop up soon. I can definitely envision Guthrie and Sheehan doing something together in the future. And, yeah, Guthrie is quite the fan of Sonny Landreth and Derek Trucks.

Yeah, it does seem like it has become his main axe for the moment. That Modern will be the basis for the planned Suhr Guthrie Govan Signature Model.
