"Pavarotti, 71, had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer last year and underwent further treatment in August." Although I was never a fan, I could see his talent, abilities and huge personality.

Yes , I read this article on MSN this morning. He reached 5 billion people singing with pop stars. The Opera community was up in arms that he would do such a thing.

His last full scale concert was in Taipei back in 12/05.

I loved when he performed in the unpopular movie "Yes Georgio!"

To me Luciano Pavarotti ( is the Steve Vai ) of Opera! :D
He will be greatly missed :(

Wispering a prayer for his loss and comfort to his family.
