I was just curious to see what your opinions were, iv'e only been into them for a month and only have WADADU, Awake, IAW and SFAM, my top 5 songs obviously come from those albums, I would love to hear your opinions guys and gals

I think it was Overture 1928, not 1948.

My taste changes every month, sometimes even every day. But right now I am listening the whole Six Degrees Of Inner Turbulence song (42 min) about 4 times a day.

SDOIT is 42 minites long?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Is it hard to listen to for 42 minites or does 3/4 of an hour just fly by, i'll get that album soon but im having trouble findng it with a reason able price tag on it, is it worth £30 (about $22)?

times just flies by when you listen to Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence, but if you are an "old Dream Theater" fan, you may not like this song, it sounds like a prog metal opera. he he. It's arranged perfectly and has very very beautiful musical themes repeated throughout the "song".
Yeah the song is about 42 min, but it's divided by tracks so you can always skip if you wish(I've never skipped), but I suggest you to listen to it entirely.

Now, Change Of Seasons feel more like one very long song to me. I dunno, maybe it's just me.

I,ve got SDOIT now and it's awsome I listen to it in It's enirity. although about to crash is my favourite section. Listened to change of seasons. It does sound like one long song more than SDOIT i think.

I,ve got all the studio albums now so im gonna revise my list.

In my opinion, Dream Theater lost their creativity after Falling Into Infinity, but that's okay, since they have made their marks. I heard Images and Words in 1993 and was absolutely amazed! To me, this is their best album, followed by Awake, but the song "A Change of Seasons" is also very beautiful.
