Anyone ever hear Ed Wynne from the Ozric Tentacles? Very, very good improvisational player. Nice tone and tasteful playing, too.

OZRIC TENTACLES

#92 Post by CymbalSplittingSkinbasher » Wed Apr 19, 2006 8:02 am

I know Ed's playing very well, & the Ozrics music very well. Ozric Tentacles are one of my favorite bands. I've seen them live & they were AWESOME!!! One of the best shows I've ever been to. Got to meet the entire band (except for John), got a bunch of stuff signed, & I was able to talk to everyone (except for John) for quite awhile. They were very laid-back, real casual, very nice, down-to-earth people. The drummer & bassist were from America, it wasn't Zia & Schoo, but they were very competent musicians & the show was top-notch!

At the show, I was able to acquire a rare poster that Brandi (Ed's wife) made at home; I think it's a "one-of-kind" poster & they all signed it for me, again, except for John. I think John was superstoned that night, or just pissed-off, I know something was going on with him that night, he just seemed like he was in a bad mood or something, kind like he was a bit on edge all night, & as usual, he looked quite stoned.

Anyway most of these guys are not underrated considering they're well known to guitar players. Some on this thread even have grammys
