There's no best but for me it's maybe someone like Tommy Emmanuel...
Damn he can play!
Shred On

Don't think I can single out a single one, but the guitarists that have inspired and influenced me the most are probably EVH (DLR era and early Hagar), Jimi, SRV, Steve, Satch, Marty Friedman (with his oriental instrumental albums), Jeff Beck and Gary Moore. And my dad, for being a guitarist all my life and always encouraging me.
So one of those. Can't really pick one.

we all know who's the best.(i already said this but..) Marty Friedman is. he could improvise for hours straight and make it all fit, and sound good, and never get boring
i could listen to the Tornado of Souls solo for days straight and never get tired of it

id like to see either of them get up on stage with joe pass or wes montgomery and play jazz. theyd get their ass handed to themReal_Confusions wrote:Keep in mind that it greatly depends on the forum you post on...lol.
I'd have to say that there is a tie between John Petrucci and Paul Gilbert---both of them can play ANY style of music, and play it well.
i am in no way saying that they are bad players, but my point is they cant play every style of music well.
