Sometimes I watched some of the vids, they don't really look that genuine, but they do sound quite decent...

Comon' man! You can't tell that's a real jem from the sound alone? You need to clean out your ears! :?

You`re right, Jem-7vwh-agg! In many cases people have the tendency to pump up the gain, EQ, compression and their Cosmic Fantabulator Effects System so much that the original tone of their guitar is way past gone. In those cases it doesn`t matter if you have the most expensive handcrafted boutique guitar on the market or some cheapo from the Walmart. In those cases the guitar acts just as a source for the signal, not the tone.

BTW, Yamaha Pacificas can be pretty nice axes. It`s the same with every massproduction brand: the difference in quality is huge if you compare the cheapest Yamaha/Ibanez or the most expensive one. If you put enough dollars on the counter there are no actual differences in quality but just the desings and concepts and that is where the individual tastes come in.

ROCK ON, DUDES/DUDESSES!!!

I've watched that video several times, thats a great video.

As for the authenticity, from what I can see it looks like an authentic JEM. I'm the one that posted "probably the only REAL JEM guitar in China" comment :P

I agree with Mikey on the guy taking the video. It took about 10 seconds before I almost upchucked all over my keyboard. This was before a note was played. There IS something called 'video stablization' and something called 'sober' before getting behind a camera.
