Steve Vai at Video Games Live

#1 Post by sykboi » Thu Jul 07, 2005 12:05 pm

Did anyone happen to be in LA and catch the Video Games Live concert? If anyone doesn't know what that is, it was the LA Philharmonic Orchestra playing the scores to video games. During the score to "Halo", the announcer announces "Ladies and Gentlemen, Steve Vai!!" the crowd goes wild. Vai comes out does a volume swell, turns around, messes with his amp, plays one note, and then the song ends.

What the @&#^! was that?

If anyone has any idea to what the &$^#* happened, please enlighten me.

That didn't sound cool at all.
If he only played one note, the whole thing sucked.
