I'm looking to get some new films, I have lots of concerts on dvd and not many films, yeah some people think it's strange.

However, I am looking for some musical related films lol, not as in a musical but a film related to music, get me?

I mean in the style of almost famous or crossroads (the vai film not spears!) or any comedy stuff like waynes world and airheads.

Can anyone recomend any other films like this?

Or if you can't think I like films about extremely intelligent people too, such as a beautiful mind and good will hunting (man that guys a role model lol).

So post away people!

you would probably like Rockstar then. I do believe that the film's made up band is more or less about iron maiden or judas priest, i can;t remember. It's good though.

I would suggest:
- the rocky horror picture show (I know, it's old but I love it :))
- the fabulous baker boys (dave grusin piano parts are great)
- mo' better blues (branford marsalis part is incredible)
- bird (charlie parker, of course)
- singles (I loved it in my grunge phase!)

I saw one abouy the Sex Pistols, with Gary Oldman. Great movie, even though I'm not a Pistols fan.

The Birdcage - Nathan Lane & Robin Williams star in this happy & gay film...if there's one word to describe this film, its "self-pity" ...haha..this is a very funny film...its got great music too...

Bill & Ted's (excellent adventure & bogus journey)- i wonder why its not yet mentioned here...& hey its got vai in it...i heard reaping played in the background while bill & ted were in the grocer ..& of course the "air guitar"
