i just got that cd, its actually quite incredible hearing JP without the "supporting cast."

What do you all think of it?

pa

p.s.-it certainly took him long enough to finish it (cough, 4 years, cough)

I think it's an amazing cd. My most favorite track is "Tunnel Vision".

I think it's an amazing album too, but one of the songs sound incredibly similar to Satriani's Raspberry Jam/Delta V.

It's a really wicked album. John Petrucci is an amazing guitarist and this album showcases him at his best. Glasgow Kiss is my favourite song from the album.

Tunnel Vision is probably my favorite track from the album. The entire album is really really good, with some very excellent tracks.

I found this disc a real disapointment. Only for the fact that it sounds really one dimensional and John seems to be suffering from the sad
'one-tone-johnny' syndrome. Don't get me wrong, the man is one hell
of a musician/guitarist/player. I love his work, but this disc really made
me feel like he ran out of ideas after the first two songs.

I know alot of DT/JP fans will disagree with me, and that is totally their
right, but I really expected this disc to take John's playing/compositions
to the 'next' level, and all it did (for me) was bring him way back down
to earth.

Who knows, I might change my mind in a few months, but so far, this
disc does nothing for me.

i think that he was just sort of going for the straight up guitar rock solo album rather than writing a whole sort of proggressive thing like dream theater. its more like a satriani type album thats just about good riffs and melodys.

Curve was my favorite track. Rusty Cooley was his #1 influence when writing the album.
