Has anyone else tried to get tori amos tickets? We have been trying and iam on her e-mail, but apperentley her site sucks because her pre sale went on yesterday and i was unaware? i guess i have just been spoiled around here for the good job mikie does  anyway, was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem? We seem to know there are plenty of scalpers out there who have her tickets and are selling them for like 500.00!!!!!!!!!!!! I just think it's sad that the usual fan can't get her tickets before the scalpers do, it sucks

That does suck! Are the shows sold out already then? Have you got the new album, how do you rate it? It's at a shop in the city here for only 16 bucks so I'll be heading that way fairly shortly ;)

Got the album the day it came out and have been listening to it pretty much all the time (apart from when I'm sleeping or listening to Steve's new CD  ) and it's great.
Also the album is called The Beekeeper so that reminded me of Steve....
Too bad about the tickets - some people are scum....I know it's not the same but get her DVD Tori in Florida - it's really, really great.

Get the special edition of the album. It has a bonus dvd with an extensive interview and an extra song. It also includes a packet of Beekeeper seeds. The seeds are various wildflowers. Pretty cool. Her autobiography Piece by Piece is out too.

Hoohoo I got my copy today, a shop in the city had a store opening half-price new releases sale so I got the dvd edition for 16 bucks australian! No seeds though, but that's okay ;) The interview disc is definately worth it, I was expecting just the bonus track with maybe a still image on screen while it played...but they put so much effort into the whole thing, its fantastic!

Really is it good? Half the reviews I've read say its 2.5 hours of closeups of her and not really interesting, don't get a feel for the band being there etc...what's your take on it?

I have seen Tori live twice on the 'Boys For Pele' and 'From The Choirgirl Hotel' tours. Love her playing! Tori shows are also a great place to pick up women cause the place is always full of them! You have to be discreet though if your already there with a girl (like I was!)

I really like it.
It's not the best edited show videowise but the sound is superb, the rhythm section guys are stellar and give Tori such a groove to play with that all songs come alive - it's great.
Also she speaks about stuff every 3-4 songs so it's a cut-up show (like Van Halen's Right Here Right Now DVD) and you don't get bored with the show - it's really great.
She does rock a lot on that chair, you'd think she's got something attached to her butt and she's doing her best to brush it off against the piano stool..... but her music is awesome.
Her lyrics are a bit heavy but the music is just great......

I for one didn't buy the limited edition. It seems that there is always a "limited edition" which isn't that limited after all, and they are all the same; get an extra DVD with something boring on it. There are a few, who know how to make it interesting. David Bowie and Type O Negative actully put in an extra CD with never released material on it. Now that's worth somethng! Otherwise, limited editions are a scam. A rip off.

Tori will be playing a concert in Seattle the same night as Steve's (4/22), less than 2 blocks away from where Steve & The Breed will be playing.
