What a tour this must have been to see.

Add Steve to the band and it wouldve been "The Best Band You Never Heard In Your Life" after all.

What get's me is why the footage from that tour has never been released..

There was a Spanish TV Concert Special of one of the shows that would be awesome to see on DVD....I've seen a bit of grainy VHS footage and it looks like the whole show would be awesome....

I just can't understand the Zappa's...they could release stuff like this easily...they must be able to get the rights....

Don't they think there's a market for it ?

We're still eagerly awaiting the 'Roxy' DVD too...that will be super-awesome !!

The ultimate Zappa question...which tour would you have liked to seen him on? There all great imo.

I have seen the Barcelona show from 1988; it's great. One of the American shows was filmed too from 1988, I think Cleveland.

Is there a market for releasing it? Yes; however the "return on investment" is peanuts; that's why they're not releasing more of this stuff. The more time that passes, the less likely we'll ever see any of this stuff.

Roxy dvd would be cool :D

I saw Frank in Jan '76 at the Hordern in Sydney...awesome

This is the gig on the FZ/OZ cd

I wish I'd seen him the previous tour in '73 with the 'Overnite Sensation' band

I always thought that was the best line-up..with Jean-luc Ponty & Ruth

You'd think it would be worth doing a DVD of Barcelona...they'd have to be able to sell 10,000 worldwide...

With the cost of DVD authoring & manufacture coming down you'd think it'd be worth it...

I'd still rather see the Roxy DVD tho'...I'm hangin' for that...

If you want to check their website..http://petulantfrenzy.com/PFgigs.html

Well worth checking out, if you're a Frank fan...

It's the full 8-piece band..with Marimba, sax, flute, keys

He was really getting into the politics by then and it grew tired really fast.

I'd love to see the band from 79 with Vinnie Colaiuta, Warren Cucurullo, Denny Walley, Peter Wolf, Ed Mann, Arthur Barrow, Ike Willis and Tommy Mars.

Also the Roxy band and sound freaking rule.

It would have been cool to see Keneally and his guitar acrobatics though.
