You should also check out "Tones" and "Ah Via Musicom"

Steve Morse sez, "Eric Johnson is so good, it's ridiculous."

To hear him analyze his influences (i.e. Jimi Hendrix, Chet Atkins, and Wes Montgomery... to name a few) I would have to agree.

Ah Via Musicom. I actually like it much more than Venus Isle. It's full of classics, save that "Boogie" song (it's just way out of place). But yeah, it has Cliffs of Dover (which any guitar guy loves), Desert Rose and Trademark, among other great songs.

I have had Venus Isle for years now.

I dont think its all that great apart from the tracks that are on the G3 stuff and maybe one or two others, which are great.

I'm convinced I wouldn't survive without Ah Via Musicom. Absolute must-have music.

If it were the last music I ever heard, I'd be happy.

I've listened to him and liked him, but not enough to be a 'fan.' Besides the g3 album I own no eric johnson cd.

If you like Eric Johnson and Steve Morse then you need to get "Powers Of Ten" by Shawn Lane. You will never be the same!

Of course! Eric is not only a great guitar player he also writes some
great songs. I think the first G3 with Satriani, Vai and Johnson was the
best. The best ever!!!
