2005 setlist
Given that I would appreciate most of the songs were from Real Illusions (and that Steve said the idea is to present a totally different show with material that has not been performed in the past 6 or so years), here are some of my favourites:
* Brandos Costumes (Gentle Ways)
* Whispering A Prayer
* Oooo
* Fever Dream (maybe played with the white triple-neck instead of the Heart? I know it's hard to cart around that kind of guitar...)
* The Fire Garden Suite (maybe even just Angel Food going to Taurus Bulba?)
I too had to leave out some other songs I deeply love - like For the Love of God (I'll leave it up to Steve to decide whether to play this one or not), The Silent Within, Windows to the soul, The Black Forest, Iberian Jewel, etc. In general, I like songs that are... heavily orchestrated, hard to play, compositionally twisted, brutally heavy
... but even some really beautiful, sweet ballads as well (in fact, I put two in my list).
Anyway, I feel the most important thing is that Steve and the band are happy with the setlist, because that's something that the audience maybe perceives. You know what I mean - if they're happy, then we will be too!
I also guess the european setlist won't be much different from the american one, right?
Best regards.
