Hello jsdetrait,

The only answer I can give you is: SOON.

Steve has been working on it - but he's also been working on the next installment of the box set, the new album, and some other stuff.

You won't be disappointed. The DVD is looking wild - but keep in mind that things take time - and Steve is a perfectionist.

It will be available in Europe, and everywhere else :)

You'll hear about it here first :)

How about a pre-sale registration on Vai.com. Something in the form of the box set sale with pre-payment options would be cool.

hello,

I've not seen the whole thing - just a little snippet :)

I'm not sure what the final tracklisting is.. but as soon as I know, I'll post details on the site.

Peace,

Mikey ;)

p.s. the small amount i have seen kicks considerable amounts of ass.

Well, I know that Chameleon will be on there because I watched the edit. :) I watched a few songs from the DVD and there's a lot of great stuff. Steve did all of the editing, up to a few weeks ago, by himself on his G4 using Final Cut Pro and he's delving into DVD Studio Pro for the menu creation and whatnot. The guy doesn't just do music!!

He's done a great job from what I've seen and he doesn't want the DVD to look like any other live DVD. Like his albums, he wants that element of "Steveness" in there. He's added some fun, cool stuff, too. You guys will NOT be disappointed. I know that he said the DVD will probably top 2 hours of material, so I'm sure that MOST of what he played that night will be included.

However, don't expect the DVD any time soon because he's mastering two new releases for the box-set, working on some outside stuff, working on the new album, spending time with the family, spending time with himself, working at Favored Nations......... etc.

But, don't think it's on the back-burner, either. :)

isn't asking for the setlist cheating? it spoils the suprise when you watch it, even if you were there at the show. its like knowing the setlist of a concert before you go, it kinda spoils it in a way.
