Eugenes trick bag

I have read many different articles saying steve played eugenes trick bag
and just as many saying it was somebody else.So who played it? And does anyone know the name of the classical song that eugenes trick bag is based on?

I think it was Steve, but other clips in the film the kid plays were played by Cooder.
It's the..eh..24th? caprice from Paganini. Give or take a few.

Heres another question...has Vai ever played it live (ie: in a concert?)...would love to see him play it on stage :D

yah its the 24 and the part that is taken from it in the movie is at the end, It is sooooo fast blaaahhh

Oops, try again... it's actually Paganini's FIFTH caprice, not his twenty-fourth. All the classical-shred parts are played by Steve, and all the hot slide licks are played by Ry Cooder. Glad I could help... 8)
