I just got back from this show yesterday and I have to say that it changed my attitude towards playing and the way I look at music in general! I managed to get a great seat right in front of the stage. I asked Steve a question during the show about how he emerged from his "dark time of the soul" as he calls it, when he was under the cloud of depression. He answered openly and detailed, even though the question was a personal one. Afterwards I met him at the meet and greet table where he signed my "Passion and Warfare" songbook and posed for a picture with me. What a cool guy! I also gave him an invitation for my high school graduation. Of course I know that there is no way that he could ever come and probably won't have time to respond but that doesn't matter to me. It just meant something to me for him to accept it, which he did and I am grateful for. Afterwards I met Sarah Isbin, who is the head of the guitar department at Julliard and also one of the best classical guitarists I have ever heard. I also got her signature and a picture. Overall this was a great experience that I was lucky to have! So, I just thought I would share it with you.
