In a few years, it will be the 20th anniversary of one of the most profound albums and experiments Mr. Vai has ever accomplished: Alive in an Ultra World. I often revisit this album and have yet to see Mr. Vai play any of these songs at a concert (other than "Whispering a Prayer," of course).

About the only footage I know of with Vai playing anything other than WAP is "Giant Balls of Gold" from the Live at the Astoria in London DVD, released around the same time as the actual album, during the "Ultra Zone" tour. So it's been a loooong time since we've heard any of these awesome tunes.

I think it would be really cool for Mr. Vai to get an Alive in an Ultra World anniversary tour together; only, not wait three more years. Please, Mr. Vai, please feel free to tease us with live performances of the amazing songs from this album while on tour, or during practice sessions/rehearsals of them, seeing as how you probably haven't played them in a very long time. I especially like the first three songs on the album; they're my favorites.

Who's with me? :headbang

P.S. Oops, forgot about "Incantation" and "Blood and Glory," also on Live at the Astoria. Still, though.
