This is very cathartic for me to be typing this birthday greeting today. I was rummaging through my things in storage yesterday doing a little late spring cleaning and I came across my copy of Sex and Religion that my best friend gave me in 94.... There is so much heaviness in that work that its hard for me to listen to without getting keenly emotional over it. So many people and events in my own life that bring new meaning to that work for me. Knowing what you were going through when you created it makes it even more heavy to me now that I am a fully grown adult with emotions to match. Now that I have a better ear for music at 38 years old I can hear a lot of Zappa influence in that album in particular because of what a mentor Frank was to you.... Thank you for all the great shows over the years. Its my wifes birthday as well. Keep bringing the talent and the music forward and I will keep listening. THANKS!
