BBB, have you even listened to the secret jewel box cd yet??
I simply don't have the time, the releases are coming in so thick and fast so I don't have time (British sarcasm, by the way)! Of course I've listened to them-a million times.

u act like u have no idea what the other cds are going to be.just a question.
I don't recall there ever being any mention that there would be two Piano Reductions. I was just hoping for something...unique and different.

oh and fail on the chinese deomcracy comparison. and chinese democracy is by far the best thing gnr ever released.
Really? Its just the ChinDem seems to have sunk into oblivion. I haven't heard anyone saying its particularly great or anything like that. I was waiting to hear this before I invested in a copy. It didn't materialise so I've avoided it. However 'Appetite... ' and 'Use Your Illusion' seems to be part of the mythical musical hierarchy!

I take it you don't rate those albums?

Are you still stuck on that?
There won't be a 2nd "Piano Reductions" as part of the box.
It's independent from that.
This is what we're still missing:

DISC 07 & 08: "Alcatrazz: Panic Jungle [Live In Japan]"

DISC 09: "Steve Vai & The Classified"

DISC 10: "Hot Chunks"

Now, being that it's been years since Steve worked on polishing the guitar tracks on "Panic Jungle", I don't understand why that hasn't been released yet. And I don't know what Steve has to do with "Hot Chunks" to make it ready for release: random recordings of noise/sound/voices/whatever...

They were OK-one or two great tracks on them but I think G'n'R were bit overrated. Like the Beatles in fact.

Turn the box up side down and unscrew it - and there you'll find something extra :o . I think that's what zappahead is refering to.

There still is some space in my The Secret Jewel Box though... It´s a ghost and very mysterious to me.
Curious if the space in the box at the very top side with the guitar pics is supposed to cover all of the newly annouced Steve´s own VaiTunes on a mp3 stick too?

No news is bad news. I'm a huge Vai fan as most know, but I feel like Steve let us down on this. I hope this thing hasn't been dropped altogether.
