Bummer. I really hoping to see/hear that...

Reminds me of when Lucky Charms was played at the beginning of the Euro tour in '07 then dropped after a few shows. Wanted that one badly too!

Hoping JtR makes a comeback before by Sunday.

The show was amazing last night but alas, no John the Revelator! Bummed me out but hopefully I'll get to catch it out in Cali!

I'll post some pics soon once i get them sorted.

What I don't understand, is why John The Revelator is not part of the standard setlist when Beverly is part of the lineup. I read that at the BC show, Bev was present but no JTR. Aside from it being an incredible song by Steven and crew, stylistically it really rounds out his show, in a way that no other song in his repertoire can (ok, unless he breaks out Zombie Woof or Stevie's spanking).

Steve, The audience Is Listening!

They didn't play it in Vancouver Oct 5 though Beverly opened the show. Perhaps it's not working as well as he hoped. It's tied in tightly with Seven Seals which would be tough to pull off live without the choirs.

Steve said, that for Beverly, the song is difficult to perform live, so they perform it comes at every 4th show. Since Beverly now isn't touring any more, they are not performing that piece.
