Hi,
I visited one of the recent G3 gigs & wanted to ask if anyone knows what songs play before Steve's appearance.
So far I got recognized these three:
> Joe Tex - I Gotcha
> Johnny "Guitar" Watson - A Real Mother For Ya
> Frank Zappa & The Mothers - Camarillo Brillo

As I understand, these background songs, played while crew changes drums & tunes instruments, are selected by performers themselves. It's easy to see in a gig with several performers like G3. Probably songs played are their favorite & influential for their personal creativity.. their own Guitar heroes... reflect their own daily playlist...
While other G3 guitarists' selections were quite standard - Led Zeppelin, Cream, Hendrix, SRV, Who, etc. - songs played before Steve came out were quite rare & therefore interesting.

Please help me diggin' into Steve's playlist.
Cheers

Hey Anthony,

I went to see Steve on this tour a few weeks ago and I'm pretty sure the music that played before he came out was by Tom Waits. I've heard him talk about how his ABSOLUTE favorite artist is Tom Waits. I hope that cleared some stuff up for you.
